PETR LISÝ, M.A.
Welcome! My name is Petr Lisý and I am Prague-based Czech astrologer, psychotherapist, translator and independent researcher in the field of archetypal studies. I hold a degree in Adult Education from the Charles University in Prague (1997-2003) and the diploma in Biosynthesis Somatic and Depth Psychology Oriented Psychotherapy (2008-2012). In 2004-2006, I completed a two-year course in Psychological Astrology led by the Czech expert Rudolf Starý, and in 2018, I passed out the online Psyche & Cosmos Advanced Program with Stan Grof & Rick Tarnas. I translated into the Czech language e.g. books by Stanislav Grof, Ervin Laszlo, Gabrielle Roth, and H.H. Dalai Lama. I co-organized the International Transpersonal Conference 2017 "Beyond Materialism - Towards Wholeness" in Prague. In 2017, I published in Czech the book "Archetypal Astrology: The Development of Psychological Astrology from C.G. Jung to S. Grof". In 2024, I published in Czech my second book "The Archetypes of Neptune and Pluto: The Dionysian Principle in Astrology and Film" and I am working on its English edition. I am also a co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Czech review "Archea: Journal for Archetypal Psychology, Astrology, and Cosmology".
My counselling work is mainly based on Psychological Astrology, which is person-centered rather than forecasting-oriented. My understanding of astrology is inspired by the psychology of C. G. Jung, the work of my teacher Rudolf Starý and astrologers like Dane Rudhyar, Richard Tarnas, Stephen Arroyo, Keiron Le Grice, and Liz Greene. I am also involved in other holistic therapeutical systems that are more focused at working with the body and emotions, and I enjoy working with dreams. I take delight in literature, philosophy and spiritual teachings. I try to approach my clients with love, respect and full awareness.
